Notes about Jordan phones

All fixed land-lines now use a seven-digit number. All towns now have direct-dialling, without the need to go through domestic operators.

Jordanian city codes have been reorganized; there are now only the
following codes -- 02 for northern Jordan, 03 for southern Jordan, 05
for the Jordan Valley plus central and eastern Jordan, and 06 for the
Amman (capital) area. The old 04 has been conflated into 02; the old
